Who should book a Travel Call?

Any adult planning a trip to Thailand or South Korea! Whether you’re planning a solo adventure, romantic trip, or a girls-only immersive excursion, I can help you curate a tailored itinerary to fit your needs and budget.

I can…

  • Design your itinerary from scratch
  • Give feedback on a draft itinerary you have
  • Brainstorm ideas to enrich your trip from the local perspective
  • Offer independent suggestions for hotels, tours and activities
  • Discuss logistics and suggest extra stops to maximize your time
  • Save you time reading dozens of articles or watching videos online
  • Share my extensive knowledge of food and culture in either country
  • Give local insights and ideas to help you travel more immersively

What’s Included on the Travel Call?

50-minute video call

A 1-on-1 video call where we can chat through your itinerary or travel style. I’ll give you tips from a local perspective. You can ask specific questions about logistics, language, culture or food in either country. This is a session to pick my brain. I’ll be prepared, but come ready to ask questions.

Follow-up documents

A few days after our call, I’ll send through a document loaded with everything we talked about. I’ll spend time gathering handy links for things like hotels and activities, and restaurant recommendations, depending on what we discuss.

Why trust Petra?

I’m a full-time traveler who explores every destination immersively and extensively. But to guarantee the highest quality advice, I reserve these travel calls only to two countries, Thailand and South Korea.

I was born and raised in Thailand, and I’m still constantly exploring new terrains and finding hidden gems that surprise even fellow Thais. On the other hand, I have been around Korean culture since I was 12 years old. I’ve visited South Korea 18 times (and counting) in the past 20 years and I know the country like the back of my hand.

For both countries, I can add a rich layer of unusual ideas, regional dishes, ancient crafts and local festivals to your plans.

How does the Travel Call work?

  1. Schedule a 50-minute call using my calendar.
  2. Wait for an email from me with payment details and a short questionnaire.
  3. Answer my questions and send over your draft itinerary or questions.
  4. Hop on a video call to chat all things Thailand / Korea
  5. After the call, I’ll send follow-up notes with links, destination names and suggestions so you can start booking. If you book the itinerary design service, I’ll deliver a document with day-by-day plans and ready-to-book links.

Planning Service FAQ

No, I’m a travel advisor, not an agent, so I cannot make bookings or reservations on your behalf. I will check availabilities and provide links to help shortcut bookings, but hitting the reserve button is up to you. I also don’t offer advice on visas.

Anything related to travel in Thailand and South Korea! How many days should you spend in Bangkok? Are 3 days enough for Busan? Where is the best place to get Thai massage? How do I get from A to B? Where should I go for the best Naengmyeon? Can I recommend a special restaurant for your fly-home meal? Can I suggest small towns for a relaxed stay?

Whatever is on your mind, I will try to answer your questions on the call, or I’ll follow up post-call with extra research. I’ll always give honest answers. And if I don’t have the answer, I’ll do local-level research and follow up.

The travel call is a simple service. It’s your chance to short-cut your research and get answers to pressing questions from a local. Usually, we can dive deep into 2-4 topics (like food, lesser-known places, or activities) or destinations (like Busan, Bangkok, Chiang Mai). The more prepared you are, the deeper and faster we can work through topics.

If you need more time, you can book a second session, or upgrade to my Itinerary Design service and bypass the whole planning process.

I offer 1 revision on the custom itinerary I design for you. This means once you receive the itinerary, you can send your feedback and notes in an email. I will then make adjustments according to your feedback one time.

I take payments through Kit’s e-commerce platform, in direct integration with Stripe’s secure payment portal.

Schedules change, life happens, I get it. If you had booked a travel call and are suddenly unable to make the call date, we can either reschedule to a different date, or I’ll give you a refund.

For itinerary design customers, I do not offer refunds after we’ve finished our initial 50-minute call. This is because the work that begins after the call depends on my personal time (rather than a salary-based employment).

However, your satisfaction is important. So if you feel the itinerary I designed does not meet your expectations, let me know, and I’ll be happy to provide extra tips, clarifications, or adjustments to help you feel more confident.

You can email me with any questions you have at hello[at]polyglotpetra[dot]com. (Sorry! I have to make it bot-proof.)
